ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
When viewed from the right light, common kitchen items like cinnamon, chia seeds, okra, ginger, root vegetables and yogurt can be understood not just as simple pantry essentials but powerful healing foods that provide immense benefit to our digestive, nervous, immune and cognitive systems. In this offering, Jess will explore the gut, sleep and mood-supporting remedies that are hiding right under our noses. She will uplift remedies that are easy to find, shelf-stable and can be made from what is lying around in the pantry, while breaking down the nourishing micronutrients that support vitality found in every day foods. Includes recipe ideas and a short demonstration of a vitamin-D rich ferment.
ACCESSIBILITY INFO: The event will be live-captioned. Spaces are unlimited. This offering is free, and will only be attended by BIPOC members of our Herbal Mutual Aid Network community. A recording of this event will be made available to our care recipients in perpetuity, in our Free Library of resources.
